Description
This parameter controls the volume of the DSVD port output (signals going out the port). The value is an unsigned octet where values larger than 128 indicate gain, less than 128, loss. The DCE may limit the range. For example, the range of valid values may be 110 to 130, giving 21 values, two of which exceed the nominal.

Note: The value set was chosen for compatibility with IS-101.

Note: The gain represented by the center value of 128 is not specified. The gain will depend on the type of transducer to which the signal is sent.
