Extended Result Codes
The extended result codes are those that are not found in the Hayes
Smartmodem 2400. Some, but not necessarily all, of these codes are found
in other Hayes products families such as the Hayes V-series System Products,
Hayes ISDN System Products, Hayes FAX products, and others.
Note: If the transmit and receive line speeds are not the same and
there is no CARRIER result code designated to report that situation (as
when V.34 modulation is used), then the CARRIER result code reports the
receive line speed.
Note: All the result codes that occur after the handshaking of a
new call are sent to the DTE upon returning to the online state after the
online command state. This includes the CARRIER and other result codes.
If the modem negotiates a new line speed on returning to the online state,
then the carrier speed of the new line speed is reported.
