S95 - Extended Result Code Bit Map
Description
This register may be set to force some of the characteristics of the
Wn command ON. If any of the bits listed below are set to 1, then the corresponding
result code is enabled regardless of the Wn or Xn (n >1) command in effect.
Refer to the Wn and Xn commands for additional information. This register
does not affect the result codes selected by the X0 command.

Bit Function
Value Bit Function
1 0 CONNECT result code (verbose or numeric) indicates the line speed
(rather than the DTE speed).
2 1 Append "/ARQ"to the verbose CONNECT result code if the
protocol is not "NONE". Example: "CONNECT 9600/ARQ".
4 2 Enable the CARRIER result codes.
8 3 Enable the PROTOCOL result codes.
16 4 Enable the AUTOSTREAM result codes.
32 5 Enable the COMPRESSION result codes.
64 6 Enable DELAYED and BLACKLISTED result codes.
128 7 Enable ACCESS result code.
256 8 Enable MODULATION result codes.
512 9 Select transmit line speed for CARRIER result code.
1024 10 Select display of send and receive line speeds for CARRIER result
code. This bit overrides bit 9.
The MODULATION result code, if enabled, is sent to the DTE after the CARRIER
result code and before the PROTOCOL result code. The MODULATION result code,
if enabled, is sent to the DTE after the ATO command in the online command
state. The MODULATION result code is sent, if enabled, only when the modulation
is one of the types listed in the RESULT CODES section.
Bit 2 enables the CARRIER result code. Bits 9 and 10 modify the information
conveyed by the result code. If the result code is enabled and the values
of bits 9 and 10 are 0, then the CARRIER result code reports the receive
line speed (except for V.23 modulations, which display both speeds). If
the value of bit 9 is 1 and bit 10 is 0, then the CARRIER result code reports
the transmit line speed. If the value of bit 10 is 1, then the transmit
and receive line speeds are both displayed, separated by a "/".
Example: 24000/14400 for 24000 bits/s transmit speed and 14400 bits/s receive
speed. V.34 allows the use of an auxiliary 200 bits/s channel. If the auxiliary
channel is enabled, then the CARRIER result code shall show the total line
speed (e.g., 29000 instead of 28800 bits/s).
