Description
NO Carrier is the normal result code used if an S7 timeout occurs after
dialing is complete. Register S157 provides a means to use the NO ANSWER
result code if an S7 timeout occurs before signals from the other modem
are detected. This feature permits more detailed logging of modem activity.
Values:
0 The normal NO CARRIER result code is used when dialing has been completed
and an S7 timeout occurs.
1 If an S7 timeout occurs after dialing has been completed, then return
the NO CARRIER result code if the timeout occurs after a signal from the
other modem is detected; NO ANSWER if no signal is detected.
Note: If an S7 timeout occurs while the @ dial modifier is being
processed (waiting for silent answer), then the NO ANSWER result code is
returned.
