Command Mode After Power-On

The command mode (AT command mode or one of the V.25bis modes) after power-on is determined by the position of the command mode switches.

If DIP switches are set for any of the three V.25bis modes, the modem enters the selected mode (regardless of S94).

If DIP switches are "UP UP" but a cold reset (power-on) has occurred and DTR = off, the modem enters normal AT command mode regardless of S94.

If the modem powers up into the AT command mode, then the stored profile may contain an S94 value that can be used to transition the modem into V.25bis command mode - as discussed above.
