Controlling Automatic Feature Negotiation
The S-registers which control and specify a connection are described
in the sections that follow. An overview of the connection options that
can be set with S-registers is provided in the chart below.
Communication Environment S36 S44 S46 S48
X.25 enabled (use X.25 if remote 0 3 6 3
system has X.25; otherwise, use LAPB
point-to-point connection)
X.25 only (point-to-point connection) 0 3 134 3
X.25 network without feature 0 3 6 0
negotiation
X.25 network with feature negotiation 0 3 6 3
X.25 network with feature negotiation 0 2 6 3
and AFT
For example, the AT&Q5 S44=3 S46=6 S48=0 <CR>command establishes a
synchronous X.25 connection with either a packet-switched network or a remote
Vseries product that supports X.25. See the S - Register
listing.
