Serial Plug & Play


This section defines how Hayes modems implement the Microsoft serial plug-and-play specifications, which are defined in the document titled Plug and Play External COM Device Draft Specification, Rev 1.00 dated 2/28/95. For more information, click on one of the following topics:

The following information is a list of corrections to Plug and Play External COM Device Draft Specification, Rev. 1.00:
1. Section 2.1.2:  Interpret else go to Com port setup as else if T1 expires and 


   DSR=1 go to Com port setup.                                                    


2. Section 2.1.8:  When T7 expires, if DSR=1 go to Disconnect Idle should be When 


   T7 expires, if DSR=1 go to Connect Idle.                                       



3. Section 2.1.9 and 2.1.10:  300 bit/s should be 1200 bits/s                    

4. Table 2: The checksum definition should be Arithmetic sum, modulo 256, of ... 

5. Section 3.2: The checksum definition should say modulo 256 instead of modulo
